Born from the dream of a passionate Bedford DJ with years of experience in promotions, Original Culture Events was created to bring something bigger and more meaningful to the local music scene. The vision was simple but profound: to craft unforgettable events that celebrated the richness of original music cultures and brought people together in joyous unity.

Tragically, the founder Rowan Forrester aka Rhino Selekta’s journey was cut short in August 2021 when he passed away due to COVID-19, just two weeks before the company’s first event. Though the loss was immeasurable, his legacy and vision live on in every event hosted by Original Culture Events.

Now run by his fiancée Fiona and his close friend Josie, the company continues to honour his dream. Together, they work tirelessly to keep the spirit of his passion alive, creating unique, soul-stirring events that invite music lovers to explore and experience the authentic sounds of different cultures.

With the motto “Come with us on a Journey through the original cultures of music,” Original Culture Events is more than just an events company—it’s a community where memories are made, and the power of music to unite us all is celebrated.
